We were very pleased to attend the private view of the Pictured Memories exhibition at Gallery North in Hailsham. It was lovely to see the end results of this innovative project. A group of students interviewed the residents of Bowes House care home and then commissioned 15 gallery artists to produce works of art inspired by the life stories that had been revealed to them. We trained the young people in interviewing techniques earlier in the year and it was very rewarding to hear how much everyone had benefitted from the project and see the evocative artworks that were created. Two of these artworks will be chosen by the care home. The exhibition is on until 15th December at Gallery North
